Correction Policy (Errata, Corrigenda & Addenda)

The International Journal of Research, Exploration & Knowledge (IJREK) recognizes the vital importance of maintaining an accurate, transparent, and permanent scholarly record. Academic research is cumulative; therefore, errors that could mislead readers or distort scientific interpretation must be formally identified, acknowledged, and corrected without delay.

In accordance with guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), and the National Information Standards Organization (NISO RP-8-2008), IJREK enforces a systematic protocol for issuing formal post-publication corrections.

To ensure complete clarity regarding the origin and nature of any amendment, post-publication notices in IJREK are classified into three distinct categories:

Any author, reader, referee, or academic institution identifying a potential factual error in a published IJREK article is invited to submit a formal correction request:

1. Initial Submission: Submit a detailed explanation specifying the Article ID, DOI, page/paragraph number, exact error, and proposed corrected wording or replacement asset to editorial@ijrek.org.
2. Author & Editorial Verification: The Editor-in-Chief and handling Section Editor review the request. If the request originates from a third party, the corresponding author is invited to comment and provide corroborating evidence.
3. External Peer Consultation (if required): If the error involves re-analyzed experimental data, recomputed statistical findings, or modified algorithmic formulations, independent peer reviewers may be consulted to ensure scientific rigor.
4. Formal Editorial Decision: Upon approval, the production office drafts a formal correction statement specifying what was amended and the date of modification.

To guarantee permanent discoverability and bibliographic transparency, all published corrections follow strict indexing standards:

• Independent DOI: Every Corrigendum, Erratum, and Addendum is assigned its own unique Crossref Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and published in the next active journal volume issue.
• Bi-Directional HTML Linking: The original online article landing page is updated with a prominent notice banner linking directly to the correction notice, and vice versa.
• Version of Record (VoR) Annotation: The original electronic article metadata reflects the existence of the correction, ensuring that citation harvesters and bibliographic search engines index the updated record.

Post-publication additions or deletions of authors, or modifications to authorship order, are strictly regulated under COPE authorship standards:

• Requests for authorship modification must be accompanied by written agreement from all co-authors (including the author being added or removed).
• A detailed rationale demonstrating how the individual satisfied or failed ICMJE authorship criteria must be presented to the Editor-in-Chief.
• Upon validation, a formal Corrigendum is published detailing the revised author list and affiliations.

A formal correction is applicable only when the central conclusions and scientific integrity of the manuscript remain valid and dependable.

If an identified error fundamentally undermines the core findings, involves pervasive data fabrication, falsification, uncredited whole-text plagiarism, or fraudulent peer-review practices, the article will not qualify for a simple correction and will instead be handled under the journal's Retraction Policy.
